I go past this spot regularly also other spots around the town favoured by these birds, so I shall keep an eye open and try to estimate numbers. About two weeks ago was passing Focus store corner of Trinity St & Manchester Rd - there were 56 golden plovers among the lapwings on the roof.
Numbers of (or approximations) of any rooftop flocks of Lapwings and Golden Plovers anywhere will be much appreciated for the national wintering plover survey.
