Very sorry to hear this, didnt know until this was posted yesterday.
We met and spoke to Alan on numerous occasions whilst out birding and an absolute pleasure it was. Top fella, top birder, and one of the best. Thoughts to all the family x

It is with deep sadness that we said goodbye yesterday to Alan Warford, he sadly passed away on the 3rd January 2022, a True Gentleman a Wonderful Dad , Great Birder,
and an all round good guy . Life can be cruel and unfair to take away from us the ones we truly admire and care about .
The service yesterday at East lancs Crematorium was a heart filled tribute to Alan, his family and friends said goodbye but the memories and birding moments will stay with us forever .
I am sure all our thoughts and sorry will go out to his family .
