Sounds like a "call duck" to me this Will ..... plenty kept as pets due to small size and pretty markings but they can make a racket .... a few samples on youtube. Hope this helps.
Roger.

I was there this morning - there were a number of farmyard ducks around - ranging from all white through to almost pure Mallard but hints of white on their chests
Without seeing it, much more likely to be a farm duck or inbred individual. Plenty around. Usually referred to as "plastic" but I prefer "Heinz" (ie, 57 varieties)
I am a 'trainee' bird watcher and saw an all white bird amongst some mallards at the pool closest to southern boundary wall at Dunham Massey today. It was just smaller than the mallards and had a vary distinctive cry like call. It has an orangey pink bill and dark eyes. I have had a look on RSPB website and listened to calls - it could be a leucistic white wigeon - does that sound reasonable?
