The Pink-footed Goose present at 2:10pm on the west side of the Rochdale Canal viewable from the towpath c300 yards north of the Hopwood Arms, Slattocks
- Pair of Grey Wagtails at the locks slightly further north - male Goosander just south of the locks at the Cassleton end - Pair of Pied Wagtails near the locks near The Ship Inn
Pink-footed Goose Slattocks feeding with Canada Geese in the fields on the east side of the Rochdale Canal towpath c300 yards north of the Hopwood Arms at 3pm
The Pink-footed Goose present at 4pm in the big field on the west side of the Rochdale Canal viewable from the towpath c200 yards north of the Hopwood Arms, Slattocks
Also Kestrel and Buzzard on the juncus marsh just south of Castleton
c350 Redwings on the big berry hedge adjacent to the Rochdale Canal just north of Slattocks viewable from the sculptured bench area - flocks of birds flying in all the time to feed on the berries, also 1 Skylark & 1 Meadow Pipit flew over calling
