Tape luring

In certain instances tape luring is invaluable,I assist a guy who surveys willow tits on Woolston eyes during the breeding season.
All his breeding records are sent off to the BTO through the NRS.without call playback lots of territories would go unnoticed.
If there played early in the season before there incubating I don't think it causes too much harm.
I don't agree with playing a call to get one on your tick list though.

My missus was up at Three Sisters today and came across 2 guys playing a tape to try and lure Willow Tits out so they could see them.At this time of year when birds are setting up breeding territories this sort of action is deplorable as it could potentially frighten off possible breeding birds. As Willow Tits are declining at an alarming rate any form of potential disturbance is abhorent and stupid beyond believe.Hopefully those two guys go on this forum and stop doing these senseless acts.furious
