10/5/14....7am-10:30am. The area covered includes beacon lane-crow lane-,roby mill-stoney brow-walthew green-lafford lane also including st josephs golf course and st teresas cemetery......(all records from st josephs golf course will be done from the definitive footpaths as st josephs is PRIVATE LAND). List in systematic order as some records will be submitted to the LANCASHIRE AND CHESHIRE BIRD REPORT. common buzzard 2 (walthew green),curlew1 (north),common tern 4 (south east),Lbbgulls 500 (south),herring gull 10(south), wood pigeon 5 (singing Knowles farm/golf course),swift 10 (south),jackdaw 24 (south,nests possibly on the college building), swallow 3 (Knowles farm),house martin 2(school lane)chiffchaff 4 singing(Knowles farm/golf course),willow w 7 singing(Knowles farm/golf course/st teresas cem),blackcap 11 singing(Knowles farm/golf course/st teresas cem/school lane),lesser whitethroat 3 singing(golf course),C whitethroat 13 singing(Knowles farm/golf course/school lane/st teresas cem),sedge warbler 1 singing((golf course),blackbird 10 singing(gardens/Knowles farm/golf course),song thrush 2 singing(Knowles farm/golf course),robin 16 singing and 2 fledged juves(gardens/Knowles farm/golf course/st teresas cem),House sparrow 15 male/12 female at least 12 pairs nesting in the village(more areas to check),linnet 1 singing(Knowles farm),yellowhammer 1 singing male and 1 fem(golf course) and reed bunting 1 singing male (Knowles farm).
