A male Whitethroat was the first record from this site this year. It was singing and did a couple of display flights a tad late for a breeding attempt!

What a great set of breeding results Mark. I wonder what was the last year in which confirmed breeding was reported for Sedge Warbler in Oldham Borough ?....you probably weren't even born then? Has there been one in recent times (or even ever?) - there were no confirmed records during the period of our first local breeding birds atlas (BBGM) 1979 - 1983. It must have been really exciting for you to find these birds locally through your own efforts and then follow it through to a successful conclusion.
