Nice to meet you Robert and your wife also. I didn't get the pics I was after. For a change!! But couldn't resist running round to the spot where you saw the terrapin before I went back to work. No joy though!!!

Very large terrapin in the reeds in the corner on the right, if you enter from Old Kiln Lane (where the path begins to take a sharp left turn). Took a few pictures and will upload to Flikr later.

My wife rang the RSPCA to report this while we were watching it and they told us call the response team on another number (0300 1234999) who then said they would pass the information on, but not clear as to whom?

Good to meet Chris Brown along the way - hope you got lucky with the shots you were after Chris!
