post for yesterday. Walked along the canal from Shevington (Gathurst) to Appley bridge
taking in a stretch along the banks of the river Douglas . Birds seen

As per the Waxwing thread: 2 vocal Waxwings were feeding in Hawthorns on the Miles Lane/Chisacre Drive junction, at the top of the public open space this morning at 10:05

Several redwing and 1 fieldfare flying over this morning , 1 sparrowhawk.

Spotted Flycatcher today in the Wigan side of woodland by Calico Brook, off Finch Mill Avenue, Appley Bridge (a site straddling both GM and West Lancs)
