Have been told there are a few a little further along the canal near the Rose of Lancaster. Every man and his dog seem to have seen them (All except me that is )
on saturday afternoon 3rd sept. around 4.45 i was cyclin down the rochdale canal path between foxdenton lane and the boat and horses . there was a bright blue flash on the far side going from one bush to the other .seeing this i stopped only to see it go back the other way ,this has undoubtably got to be a kingfisher... well chuffed not seen one since i was about 10 yrs old in duckinfield !!!!!!
