Pheasants regularly roost in trees Maurice.
Can give quite a shock when accidentally flushing one from several meters above your head!

i don't know whether this is unusual or not, but today near Abbey Village i saw 3 male pheasants perched in a large tree at least 25 feet above ground.
i didn't know pheasants flew this high or could safely land in a tree.
it just seemed a bit strange to see them perched there.
is this normal.
