RSPB Dipper survey this morning of Crowden Great Brook. 3/4 birds seen. Probably 2 territories. Other birds included a male Ring Ouzel, 2 Stonechat, Peregrine falcon, Reed Bunting, Kestrel, 15+ Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Chiffchaff.
plenty of common species round the car park, mistle thrush by the farm buildings.
a good selection of corvids with jackdaw, carrion crow and raven seen.
2 stonechats apparently heading up the valley, meadow pipits displaying all over the place but also a flock of about 30 which seem to have newly arrived

my first visit to this site produced. 1 tree creeper 1 spotted fly at the picnic area. a walk along the valley 5 whinchat.2 raven chasing off a peregrine. wont be my last visit.a beautiful spot.
