The adult female and 4 young on the Mersey are looking well. Seen again at noon just downstream from the substation opposite Chorlton water Park. All the young are diving and successfully fishing for themselves. Amazing how quickly they've grown.

Another brood of 7 at Burrs CP a couple of days ago as well, per a birder to Adrian Dancy today.

A female with 15 ducklings on the Irwell at Springside, Walmersley, this afternoon. Fairly regular here over the last few years, but this might be the largest brood ever seen!
