This evening Chris Darbyshire had 5 Ring Ouzels (2 male), immediately east of Billinge Hill, between the beacon and Wiswall's Farm (i.e. between Upholland Road and the beacon). A couple of them then flew on to a landscaped area by the landfilled quarry area. These were in St Helens, but only a couple of hundred metres or so outside the Wigan boundary (they would have been in Wigan if this was still 1995!!).

Sorry, meant to put this on the Out of County section..............

About 100 Chaffinches and 15-20 Bramblings in a flock feeding in plough and fallow in fields E of Billinge Plantations this morning on my (last) TTV - just in the county.
