Gave Ellie-birder an airing today and did our annual circular walk around Warton Crag.
Great views of the long-staying Chough on the path at the top of the Quarry - down to 15 ft before it saw us. Also 2 Ravens, one of the Peregrines, a Kestrel family, and a Green Woodpecker. Male Marsh Harrier on the reserve and some of the best views ever of a female, quartering a corn field near Leighton Hall. Spotted Redshank from the Public Hide, and a total of 7 Buzzards from all around the walk.
