Dave Broome found a Firecrest (presumably one of the 2 seen late last year in the same area) in his parents' garden at Rushdene this evening. The garden backs onto the flash. He thinks it went to roost in a row of Leylandii at the end of Rushdene, which run parallel with the railway embankment and adjoin the footpath onto the embankment (soon to be a dual carriageway).
