One male teal today just behind rangers cabin at first thought i had re-found the green winged teal but confused as to what i was seeing. it was a standard teal but had vertical splodges on the breast side instead of a clear cut vertical stripe, I dont believe this bird is a hybrid but cannot say it was a green-winged teal so what was it.... TEAL WITH A VERTICAL SPLODGE. I have taken notes and will submit them to Mr McKerchar as soon as I can.
