Just to confuse the issue entirely, on mine the arrows are too high(!) but it's obvious where they should point, unless of course Caspian Gulls have developed a "cloaking" device which would explain the empty airspace on all the pictures! BTW very useful article
I guess it's to do with what screen resolution you are using. I'm no pro but certain html programming can look different depending on the screen resolution which can be changed by going to desktop properties. Hope this helps? Thanks. Henry Cook.
Ian, The arrows don't line up on my monitor either. However, if you click on the "restore down" button in the top right corner of the screen. It's the one in between minimise and close. The window you're viewing goes smaller. You'll notice that the home screen options are set out slightly differently. The sightings forum box takes up 2 lines instead of one. When you "maximise" clicking the same button, it fills the screen and only takes up one line. If you stay in the "restore down" mode ie the window doesn't fill the screen and read the Caspian Gull article, all the arrows line up.
I've no idea why this happens but it also happened with the Christmas message that the Robin sent. In full screen it covered the bird's head but in small screen it was a clear speach bubble.
Incidentally, do the arrows on the article not line up with the relevant features on anyone else's monitor? Just using one other than my own at the moment and the arrows point too low, very confusing and annoying, especially considering the time and effort in the article. If this is occurring with anyone else, please let me know and also how to prevent it would be nice!
Unfortunately not Paul, NYD was my first chance ove the whole Christmas period to get down there, so the bird may well have been present but I certainly wasn't. Put it down to good luck
