Had a visit up on to the moors near Ashworth Moor Res and was amazed to see 8 Snow Bunting breifly before heading towards the new wind turbine (or dotterel beacon!), saw them for about a minute before they flew off. 2 Snipe up there and that was it. I will be doing some photos up on the moors over xmas for uni so will keep a look out for them, in the past they have been seen around top o'th leach but this is literally yards outside manchester!
Also went looking for snipe at the back of Birch Industrial Estate, Rochdale, and had 1 Jack Snipe and 5 snipe - this site held jack snipe in 2006.
not a bad day at all but absolutely nothing on Ashworth Moor Res.
