Totally agree with you Tony about the quality of his work. It's refreshing to see an artistic approach to bird photography. All too often I meet people carrying the latest DSLR and grenade launcher lens obsessed with capturing every close up detail. Ben's approach and his ability to use photography to communicate so much more really does set him apart from the rest. It's a genuine pleasure to view his gallery.
I went to a talk last night by Ben Hall. He is a professional nature photographer who lives in Hazel Grove, and he showed some absolutely stunning pictures - most taken locally - Etherow, Peak District, Southport, and Martin Mere.
