For some reason cant read original posting only crow chasing wagtail.
Had a Carrion Crow last night on the permit site that i watch dive bombing a group of Teal, selecting a victim and hassling it into takin flight, then chasing after it all round the res trying to catch it. The Teal was a lot quicker than the crow and on the thrid chase managed to escape!
I was outside my works at dinner today watching the Pied Wagtails that are around at the moment. One was flying over, when a Carrion Crow appeared, flying in the same general direction but the Crow changed direction to actively chase the Wagtail. For a minute i thought it was going to pluck it out of the sky! Watched them pass over and in the end it looked like the Wagtail was chasing the Crow off
