At around 5:00pm today, Peter Alker was just out of a meeting at Pennington Flash when he heard a Yellow-browed Warbler calling and approaching the visitor centre along the bushes and trees that lead to the golf 'huts'. The bird eventually flew over the visitor centre and into the trees behind the play area and then on to the trees near the wooden Great Spotted Woodpecker statue, still calling loudly. Unfortunately, despite a fairly extensive search the bird couldn't be relocated, needless to say, it will be looked for again tomorrow...
