I know that the weather was beautiful today but even better was watching a pair of Peregrines soaring above Liverpool street in Salford at 12.25 pm while 6 Blackheaded Gulls spent 5 minutes mobbing them. It looked like the falcons were enjoying themselves as they chased the gulls around the sky but did not attempt to go for the kill.

Later at home in Swinton I saw a Willow tit visit my bird table. This is only the 3rd Willow tit that I have seen in my garden in over nine years.

This evening I have spent watching 2 Barn Owls hunting near Moss Lane in Astley and saw a Little Owl in the trees just as you go over the rail crossing on Rindle road.

Certainly a beautiful day.smile
