While doing some work in the park over the last week a reliable local birder let me know that a free flying female Mandarin Duck has been on the pond on Fog Lane Park over the last couple of weeks.  Although I did not see it over 3 visits last week it may still be around on Fog Lanes pond or other local water bodies.

Of note also were a couple of Chiffchaffs, a Redwing and a pair of Nuthatches carving out a new nesting hole.
