Lots of brambling on the edge of my plot today. The males are really starting to colour up nicely!

Heard my first brambling call today. Never heard one before and it was bugging me all morning that i couldnt find what bird was making the noise. Eventually saw a male brambling sat in the tree on my allotment singin merrily away.

A male and female Brambling were present this morning on my allotment that borders Smithalls country park. They were amongst a small chaffinch flock.
At my allotment I also have a pair of nuthatches feeding regularly at my feeders :)
